Rolls-Royce & Eden Project Science Prize

Rolls-Royce Science Prize – Eden Environment Award 2010. I worked on this project with a group of apprentices, developing and honing ideas and drawings, so that I could manufacture the award sculpture.
The event was fantastic. When Tim Smit, the Eden Project owner/director, unveiled the trophy on stage from underneath a sheet, the audience of some 300 people (including Sir James Dyson) gave a collective “Wow”. It is difficult to explain the buzz it created. Tim Smit was really happy with the trophy, as were the winners. The trophy is going to be used each year, with school keeping the glass plaque.
